Frisbeegolf
The popularity of frisbee golf has continued to grow as a summer sport, which can be played for fun with a group of friends, as outdoor exercise for the whole family, as well as a serious competitive sport. Salla has two frisbee golf courses, at Sallatunturi and the centre of Salla village.
Village of Salla Frisbee-Golf Course FG-SALLA
The 9-hole course, located in the vicinity of Salla’s School Centre, offers suitable challenges for beginners as well as those already familiar with the sport. The course is in a thinned, partly flat and partially hilly pine forest. The maximum height difference on a hole is 4 m. The lengths of the holes range from 52 m to 118 m. The ideal par for the course is 28 (2 x par 4, 6 x par 3, and 1 x par 2).
The course is located at Kuusamontie 71 (starting point of the exercise routes).

Sallatunturi Frisbee-Golf Course
The aim of frisbee golf is to complete the course with as few throws as possible, while throwing the frisbee into all the baskets along the course. The round begins from the first teeing ground on the first hole. At Sallatunturi, the first teeing ground is located behind the Holiday Club Salla Spa Hotel. Players take turns throwing and then move on to their own frisbees. The next throw is taken from where the frisbee has landed. The player furthest from the basket throws first. Each player must count the number of their own throws. Continue throwing until the frisbee is in the basket. Then continue to the next teeing ground to throw towards the next basket. The one who goes through the course with the fewest throws is the winner.
